Sunline Stakes 2023 Race Details
Race 5 at Moonee Valley on Friday the 24th March 2023.
The Sunline Stakes is a Group 2 race held at Moonee Valley racecourse over 1600 metres. It is for fillies and mares aged three-years-old and upwards, and is run under weight for age conditions. The total prizemoney is $300,000 this year.

Track: Good Weather: Fine
Interesting little race with seven mares and one filly set to line up. Deny Knowledge and Sirileo Miss should ensure this is run at a genuine tempo. Sirileo Miss is the current favourite after bolting last start at Flemington.

1. Barb Raider
Stuck on okay for third after racing outside Sirileo Miss in the Matron Stakes. Maps for an extremely economical run here in behind Sirileo Miss and Deny Knowledge. Clear top 3 chance.
2. Sirileo Miss
She was awesome bolting in in the Group 3 Matron Stakes last start. Probably has do it from outside lead this time but is well and truly capable. She was not stopping through the line.
3. Cliff’s Art
Comes down from Sydney. Was third in the Group 3 Aspiration last start and is another who maps for a good run.
4. Deny Knowledge
Was a strong winner of the Group 3 Belle Of The Turf at Gosford three back. Forgive last start when the saddle slipped. Back to mares grade now and should find the lead.
5. So You See
Was good from the back in an on pace dominated race last start. Concerned she might end up buried on the fence needing luck.
6. Sky Horse
Resumes. Prefer others.
7. En Francais
Has been going well over in Adelaide. This is tougher.
8. Revolutionary Miss
Good winner of the Kewney last start against the three year old fillies. Drawn to get last crack at them here.
