Another competitive affair. Coal Crusher has been around the mark this prep and gets its chance in this. Weona Smartone has good claims from the Vandyke stable and gets Ryan Maloney sticking. Waihaha Falls will be hitting the line hard while a kind draw and maps looks suitable for Bacchanalia in this with the light weight.

Quality QLD galloper that can give this a shake. Keep an eye on the market as the form is hard to line up.

2. Hard Empire (2)

Can’t have.

3. Athelric (9)

Excellent return fresh and can give this race a shake. Barrier 9 suits to get the right tow into the race. Looks hard to beat against this lot and warrants respect.

4. Gravina (19)

Too hard to catch to be backing the win. Place chance in this field. Barrier 19 is a concern.

5. Dajraan (7)

Keen an eye on the market. Can show up fresh.

6. Jojo Was A Man (17)

Racing super and flies with Jones. Needs luck from 17 but this race is within reach. Good rough.

7. Ranges (16)

Can’t have.

8. Brutality (18)

Will flash late but suited with further and later on in the prep.

9. Coal Crusher (6)

Lands on the speed and proves hard to catch. Has the right running pattern and looks hard to beat in this suitable field.

10. Waihaha Falls (13)

Quality galloper that will need some luck from the draw but weighted nicely in this field and flies fresh. Looks a huge hope in this field.

11. Never Talk (12)

Will be ripping home late. Can take this out but has the running pattern that requires luck. Gibbons sticks and this race is within reach.

12. Flying Crazy (15)

Good chance at odds. If they go silly up front it can rip home over the top of this bunch and wasn’t far off Bacchanalia fresh.

13. Shelby Sixtysix (3)

Can’t have.

14. Clemenceau (10)

Suited out in trip and well placed here with a very good second up record. Needs luck from the draw but good enough to win.

15. Bacchanalia (5)

Well placed here to win again but The Face and Flying Crazy have claims at bigger prices. Happy to steer clear at the odds.

16. Kalino (1)

Well placed but will need some luck from the draw and the 1200. Track and distance stats read well and looks nicely placed.

17e. The Face (14)

The Face is huge odds here. Wasn’t far off Bacchanalia fresh and if thats the right form for this then it looks nicely placed in this field.

18e. Dalchini (11)

Better first up run than it looked. Will need a bit to go right but can win.

19e. Kipsbay (4)

Quality galloper with a kind map and good draw. Can win on returning and looks nicely placed.
