Baillieu Handicap 2023 Race Details
Race 2 at Rosehill Racecourse on Saturday the 25th of March 2023.
The Baillieu Handicap is a Group 3 race held at Rosehill Racecourse and is run over 1400 metres. It is for horses aged two-years-old and is run under quality handicap conditions. The total prize money is $200,000 this year.

Baillieu Handicap 2023 Preview
Track: Good Weather: Fine
Open race where most need to take the next step. Amur is proven at this level and gets the right draw. Disneck needs a change of luck this prep and maps to get just that. The Years is coming off an excellent run at Newcastle and Brave Mead comes up from maiden grade but was mighty impressive last run.

Solid last s6tart and maps kindly here for Nash. Gets the gun run and goes close. On Top.
2. Disneck (3)
Due for a change of luck this prep. Form stood up with Kimochi in the mid weeks the other day. Can win.
3. The Years (10)
Excellent run last start at Newcastle behind a smart one. Nicely placed against this lot and will prove hard to hold out.
4. Brave Mead (9)
Also nominated Friday. Brilliant last start but much harder here. Progressive enough to take this out but a decent leap in grade and a wide draw. Worth keeping safe.
5. Make A Call (7)
Does a bit wrong but going along well enough to figure in this. Place chance.
6. Inhibitions (2)
Had its chance last start but went well enough. Going along okay but would have to lift to take this out.
7. Bobby Shiraz (8)
Also nommed in QLD. Solid enough trial beating a smart one who won Wednesday. May be able to find the placings off that.
8. Waverley (6)
Ready to peak and in the right camp to do so. Maps Kindly and should relish the trip. Looks hard to hold out at healthy odds.
9. Miss Ghent (4)
Nice debut win. Has to take the next step here but gets a nice draw. Place chance.
10. Llewellyn (11)
Can’t have.
11. Fightertown (5)
Leaning to others on form.
