2022 Valley Pearl Race Details
Race 3 at Moonee Valley on Friday 25th March 2022.
The 2022 Pdf Food Services Valley Pearl is held at the Moonee Valley Racecourse and is run over 1200 metres. It is a Listed race for the 2-year-olds run under set weights. It was previously called the St Albans Stakes.The total prize money is $160,000.

The Valley Pearl 2022 Race Preview
Track: Good Weather: Fine
Quite a bit to learn in the newly named Valley Pearl. The Freedman stable has Zahra steering Crosswinds who was impressive on debut and can measure up. The in-form Avdulla steers Psychiatrist while current race favourite Nanagui comes out of the Peter Moody stable and has Jamie Kah aboard.
2022 Valley Pearl Runner by Runner
1. Bello Beau (3)
Unbeaten and maps for the right run so clearly demands respect. On ratings, it probably has a bit to find on a few of these but is in the mix. A shade under the odds for mine.
2. Sir Bailey (7)
Pulled up with issues its last run and looks over the odds given it had genuine excuses. The win prior was very solid and this is the best chance at double figures.
3. Psychiatrist (10)
Back onto better footing should suit. Does have a tricky map and draw but certainly brings in the strongest form lines and looks a massive chance.
4. Crosswinds (8)
Excellent chance and the debut win was impressive. Slightly awkward gate and map but Zahra steering is a good push to counter that and this does look one of the better chances in the race.
5. Sketched (5)
Should be landing on the speed and giving a sight. Newitt sticks and if left alone up front it can be in this for a long way.
6. Cannon (11)
Had excuses on debut and can improve. Would like to see market support.
7. Nanagui (4)
Very good debut and despite the 1200 potentially still being a touch short it still is the one to beat. Jamie Kah jumps aboard and maps to get the right run.
8. All Sassed Up (6)
Likeable form and if the stable elect to go here rather than Pakenham on Thursday then I am respecting that placement. Not out of this at odds.
9. Wicklow Lass (2)
Big step up in grade but did plenty right on debut and does map for a very good run. Nice chance at odds.
10. Incorporation (1)
Can’t have.
11. La Danseuse Rouge (9)
Needs to jump better than last start but was sound on debut. Barrier 9 is no favours but does have a chance at a price.
