2023 SA Sires Produce Stakes Runner by Runner

1. Harley’n’rose (3)

He worked home strongly from the tail of the field for 3rd in the Breeders’ Stakes, and now has a win and 2 places from 4 starts. Winning chance.

Ran 5th at Cranbourne at his only start. Prefer others.

3. Air Assault (4)

This colt is trained by Leon Madonald & Andrew Gluyas, who have had success in this race before. He had an ideal trail but didn’t finish off when 5th in the Breeders Stakes. Place chance.

4. Nodachi (2)

She won a 1400m 2YO Maiden Plate at Bendigo by 5.8 lengths on 30 April after placing at her 2 previous starts. That was on a soft track and she is the leading hope here.

Last start winner over 1200m at Cranbourne. Capable of making her presence felt.

6. Long Lost Friend (1)

She was a 2 length winner on debut at Bendigo, before 4th over 1200m at Mornington. Drawn barrier 1 and can be in the finish.

7. Diamonds Choice (7)

Won a trial at Murray Bridge on 20 April. In the mix.

8. Tokyo Star (5)

Was held up then chased hard with no room late for 1.9 lengths 5th over 1200m at Cranbourne at her only start. Could surprise.
