Race 7 at Doomben Racecourse on Saturday the 13th of May 2023.
The Rough Habit Plate is a Group 3 race held at Doomben Racecourse and is run over 2000 metres. It is run under set weight conditions and is for horses aged three-years-old. The total prize money is $250,000 this year.

Rough Habit Plate 2023 Preview
Track: Good Weather: Fine
All eyes on Kovalica who had no favours in the run last start and still kicked clear for a very impressive victory. The Vowels has done little wrong this prep and should be around the mark while Stroke Of Luck brings in the different form lines and can give this a shake. Hard to pot the way So Dazzling is going and this race is within reach for it.

Hard to not be impressed by the last start win when getting no favours and still getting the job done in easy fashion. Should be winning this.
2. The Vowels (7)
Can pounce if the favourite is having an off day. Honest runner that looks well placed for the placings and maps better than the favourite. Place chance.
3. Tapildoodledo (14)
Can’t have.
4. Waitak (11)
This looks too tough.
5. Stroke Of Luck (3)
Far from hopeless in this. Gets Nash from the kind draw and can run a positive race. Solid chance and the price looks decent enough to roll the favourite.
6. Brookhaven (1)
Can’t have.
7. Bulikov (13)
Prefer in something easier.
8. Yasuke (9)
Racing well and could find its way into the placings.
9. Snizzi (15)
Can’t have.
10. Cut On A Dime (6)
Not hopeless and could sneak a placing. Did a bit wrong last start but there form out of the race has been very good and maps well. Like it for the $15.00 placing!.
11. Xtrarevz (12)
Can’t have.

Prefer in something easier.

This looks too tricky.

Not this time.

Can’t have.

Racing well and suited by this distance range. Tricky draw and will likely have to get back in the run but can find the placing against these.
