Intriguing race with plenty of different form lines. Appin Girl has been impressive to date and looks to keep her undefeated record in tact. Ducasse was promising on debut and can go one better in this. Empire Of Japan will take beating from the strong yard while Sovereign Fund can bounce back on top of the ground and Armed Forces gets another chance after having excuses on debut.

1. Empire Of Japan (7)

Due for a win but finds the right race and can take this out. Keep one eye on the market.

2. Soverign Fund (5)

Poor fresh but can bounce back in this. Finds a kind draw and Tim Clark does the steering. This race is well within reach.

3. Cifrado (6)

On the up but this is a tricky race. Prefer others.

4. Thunderlips (9)

Found Dipsy Doodle too slick late and we get a guide of the form in the first in NSW. Can take this out.

5. The King (3)

Able to roll forward and win. The stable said it’ll be a more effective horse when taking a sit so expect those tactics here. Has good upside and is more than capable of taking this out.

6. Addriel (4)

Strong win last start atoning for an unlucky run the start prior well. Well backed in early markets and the stable is on fire.

7. Metallic Ruler (11)

Can’t have.

8. Ducasse (8)

Solid debut but does looks short enough in this. Respect any moves.

9. Armed Forces (2)

Had excuses on debut and J-Mac steers which is a big push. Kind draw and respecting the placement by the stable. This race is well within reach.

10. Appin Girl (1)

Can’t knock winning form and gets the gun run from barrier 1. Harder here but on the up and is hardest to beat.

11. Miss Joelene (10)

Can’t have.
