Morphettville Racecourse

Morphettville races are held at Morphettville Racecourse or Allan Scott Park as it is more commonly known locally. Morphettville Racecourse is the only horseracing track in the Adelaide metropolitan area and is home to the South Australian Jockey Club (SAJC), which has sold off its other racetrack at Cheltenham while the old Victoria Park course has been turned into a community park by the city council.

Morphettville races are held each Saturday and are well attended by visiting Victorian trainers. Always check your Adelaide racing fields and form guide to bet on Victorian trainers bringing their horses across the border.

Getting to Morphettville races is pretty easy if you want to take public transport. Just catch the tram from Victoria Square in the city centre and get off at the Morphettville Racecourse. You can’t go wrong.
