All eyes on the resuming Norwegian Bliss who has built up a formidable record of 7 wins from 8 starts. Swats That brings in some class to the field and gets the in form Brenton Avdulla to steer. Jamaea hasn’t won for quite some time but has been contesting some harder races than this while Jump The Broom can run a bold race fresh and should get a lovely run in transit from the kind draw. The tempo should be solid.

Only has the three wins to its name but has contested some hot races and can real off a huge turn of foot on its day. Always needs a bit of luck in running but can win. Watch for it late…

2. Norwegian Bliss (11)

I have plenty of time for Norwegian Bliss who is certainly the punters pal and has delivered 7 wins from 8 starts. This race is well within reach fresh but its fate will be decided early having to jump from barrier 11. Wins with the right run in transit but its chances are dimmed from the draw.

3. Larkspur Run (2)

Should run well but no wins from 6 goes over the trip and no wins from 5 goes on good footing has me leaning to others. Worth following later on in the prep.

4. Jamaea (12)

Hasn’t won for a long time but does come back in class and has the turn of foot to beat these. Tim Clark is an interesting booking. There may be some intent there to be more forward in the run.

5. Written Beauty (10)

Mixed form last prep but might be looking for dry ground and should get that here. Proven fresh and on this track, can go close if it brings its A-Game.

6. Espiona (14)  – SCRATCHED

7. Jump The Broom (3)

Jump The Broom can run a bold race fresh in this. Collett will get every chance from the barrier and it has won 3 starts from 4 goes fresh. This race is well within reach and the trip suits first up. Over the odds.

8. Van Giz (5)

This looks too tough.

9. More Prophets (9)

Prefer others.

10. Bellatrix Black (6)

Import from NZ who will appreciate more distance in time. Keep an eye on the market for any respect first up.

11. Douceur (1)

Should improve with the run;.

12. Kir Royale (8)

Kicked and beat the unlucky Snapped last run who was held up for most of the straight. That form should hold up here. William Pike booked.

13. Po Kare Kare (4)

Gets a nice run in transit for the very in form stable and jockey. Provided a slashing first up win and just needs to find an effort like that to be going close again.

14. Moon Over Alice (13)

Can’t have.
