Track: Good Weather: Good

A wide open affair. Barber leads the market with Jamie Kah steering for the Godolphin camp. Good form has emerged from its races and it will prove hard to stave off. Brave Halo creates interest coming across from WA and should run well against these. Gangitano was very good on debut and has trialled up nicely while Amigo is a market watch.

1. Barber (7)

Nice 2 efforts to date and Jamie Kah will do the steering from the slightly awkward draw. Godolphin are in good form, this race is within reach albeit Barber does seem short enough needing things to go right from the barrier and a slight query on its form.

2. Little Brose (4)

Put the writing on the wall last run with a slashing win and the open company run prior was solid. Maps kindly and is a place chance in what is a wide open race.

3. Brave Halo (3)

Creates interest having won 3 starts to date including 2 at very short prices. Damien Oliver is an interesting booking in my opinion but should land into a plum spot from barrier 3 and can measure up to these.

4. Corniche (1)

Not sure where to from barrier 1 but the in form Blake Shinn does the steering. Good enough to win with the right ride.

5. Some People Callme (10)

Sound debut. Should land on the speed and give a kick. Will appreciate the drop in trip back to the 1100. Place chance.

6. Scorsese (12)

Good on debut but gets no favours in this form the wide draw. Prefer others.

7. Gangitano (2)

Hit the line well and jump outs have been excellent. Maps for a kind run from barrier 2 and goes on top at the generous price.

8. Tarabeau (9)

Respecting the placement of the stable here up in grade. Keep an eye on the market.

9. Goodes (8)

Made excellent ground late behind a smart one. Should be suited by the rise in trip and the $51.00 is worth a speck.

10. Fire Follower (6)

This looks too tough.

11. Amigo (5)

Trials have been very good and the in form trainer Moody should have Amigo wound up and ready to go. Respect any market moves.

12. Peerless Lad (11)

Keep an eye on the market.
