Track: Good Weather: Fine

This shapes as a battle of the Melbourne Fillies v the second string Sydney Fillies who have opted to dodge the hot Group 1 Phar Lap Stakes field at Rosehill.  Shuffle Dancer comes up favourite after winning the Armanasco at Sandown last start.  Revolutionary Miss who finished second in last years Thousand Guineas is on the next line of betting.

1. Revolutionary Miss

Has been good to the line in both Sydney runs this time in and was second in the Group 1 Thousand Guineas at her only previous start at 1600m.  Will just need a bit of luck from barrier 1.

2. Wolverine

She started $81 in the Surround and I didn’t think her run warranted her to be single figures here on a good surface.  Prefer her with the sting out.

3. Shuffle Dancer

Was well supported at Sandown and got the money thanks to a really good ride from Ben Melham.  She can win again.

4. Pavitra  – SCRATCHED

5. Woolombi

Team Snowden galloper who has won three in a row including the Vanity here last start.  There is no reason why she can’t win again.

6. Razeta

Another who started a big price in the Surround.  Her run was okay and she does get Shinn from a perfect gate here.  That gives her some hope.

7. Papillon Club

Really like this filly.  She stuck on well for third last start in the Vanity after a wide run in transit and a 5 week gap between runs.  Think she can run really well here at decent each way odds.

8. Amati

Last start Ballarat benchmark 64 winner.  Maps for a good run in transit.

9. Eternal Flame

Was badly held up in the Armanasco last start, then charged the last 100m once clear.  Her run was much better than the 4.75 length margin in the form guide suggests.  Think the market has missed her here and she is better than a $26-1 chance.

10. Nunthorpe

She was well backed in the Vanity last start.  Raced on speed and weakened.  Could make a case that $18 is too big given the strong market support last time.

11. Terrestar

Broke her maiden at Pakenham last start.  Prefer others.

12. Moya Lass

Liked her run first up at Pakenham but this is a big step up and her price in the market reflects that.
