Track: Good Weather: Fine

There are thirteen acceptors for the Group 2 Sires Produce Stakes.  Veight is the current favourite following a six length win on debut at Pakenham.  Dubenenko was an eye catcher in the Blue Diamond and has been a well supported in early betting.  Ganbare has form around a number of the Golden Slipper contenders in Sydney and appears to be looking for 1400m, while Freakofnature was a good debut winner.

1. Amur

Blinkers go on for the first time but I think he is limited.  Happy to be around him.

2. The Spirit Of Zero

Tasmanian who produced a huge finish to get up in the final bound in the Gold Sovereign at Launceston last time out.

3. Ganbare

Has just got way too far back at his last two starts in Sydney.  The form around those runs is very good.  Expect him to be much closer from the good gate here.  Each way chance.

4. Tom Kitten

Only fair here on debut after a big drift, then won at Warwick Farm.  Is in the mix.

5. Fistsoffury

Was superb breaking his maiden on debut then was second behind Freakofnature at Sandown.  Drawn to do no work.

6. Freakofnature

Loved the debut win at Sandown defeating Fistsoffury who was coming off a very good win at Pakenham.  Also love that he has been back to the jump outs since.  Do not love barrier 12 – will need a good ride!

7. Veight

Won by a big space at Pakenham on debut and looked to have plenty more to offer on the line.  Winkers go on for this and has drawn well.

8. Apulia

Blinkers go on after a fourth place finish at Sandown last start.  Needs to find a few lengths.

9. Alsonso

Kept finding after being under pressure along way out here over 1100m on debut.  The extra distance and blinkers should really suit.

10. Flyball

Finished off nicely at Pakenham on debut and gets Jamie Kah for this.  Could surprise.

11. Dubenko

South Australian who was a big flashing light run in the Blue Diamond at a huge price.  She ran the fastest last 200m sectional of the race and did not appear to be stopping suggesting she can get the 1400m.  Rates highly.

12. Sassy Boom

Raced away to win a two year old event over 1200m first up.    1400m suits.

13. Portorosa

Found the line well over 1000m on debut at Randwick, then got chopped out at a key stage in the Sweet Embrace at 1200m.  Chance.
