Cinderella Stakes – 2023

With the early scratching of Tara Rani there are 9 runners remaining for the Cinderella Stakes. Four of the fillies are last-start winners and three are having their first race. The early favourite is Tiz Enuf who who has won 4 races from 1400m to 2500m. Second favourite is I Am Immaculate who has won 4 races from 1400m to 2500m. Third favourite is Zelta who is first up since running in the Melbourne up and has to carry 6 kg more than the other runners. Shesallshenanigans has been runner-up in his last 3 races. The rest of the runners are currently over $10.

1. Tiz Enuf (1)

Led all the way to win by 2 lengths at her only start over 1103m at Sale on 5 February. Rates highly with Ben Melham aboard. Big chance.

2. Show Royale (3)

Won her only start at big odds where she hit the lead at the 200m and kept going strongly for a length win over 1000m at Bendigo on 18 February. No reason she can’t run well again.

3. Shesallshenanigans (8)

One of the 2 runners who have had 2 race starts. She debuted for 5.5 lengths 4th in the Listed Debutant Stakes over 1000m at Caulfield, then was spelled. She resumed for a 1.2 length win over 1100m at Bendigo on 28 February where she led all the way. One of the chances.

4. Cherokee Miss (5)

Resumes from a 17 week spell. She had one start where she won by 1.5 lengths over 1000m at Murray Bridge on 9 November in a small field. Came 2nd in a recent Morphettville Parks trial. In the mix.

5. Kristobel (10)

Has placed at both runs. Finished 3rd of 4 over 1000m at Morphettville Parks on 4 February, then had a change of trainer before running 0.3 length 2nd over 1000m at Morphettville Parks on 18 February. Place chance.

6. Bossy Nic (9)

First started who has not trialled. Jamie Kah had been booked but not sure who will ride her now.

7. Diamonds Choice (6)

Had one start where she was a long way back last and was eased out of the race and failed to finish. Prefer to see.

8. I Am Immaculate (2)

First started who is untrialled, but beautifully bred. Watch the market.

9. Tara Rani (4)  – SCRATCHED

10. Zelta (7)

Debutant for the Gai Waterhouse & Adrian Bott stable. Has placed in all 3 trials. Will be ready to go.
