Todman Stakes 2023 Race Details
Race 2 at Randwick racecourse on Saturday the 4th of March 2023.
The Todman Stakes is a Group 2 race held at Randwick Racecourse and is run over 1200 metres. It is run under set weight conditions and is for colts and geldings aged two-years-old. The total prize money is $300,000 this year.

Todman Stakes 2023 Preview
Track: Fine Weather: Good
A very small field assembles for this years edition. Red Resistance has been hard to knock and will get every chance from the draw for the very in form Waterhouse-Bott stable. Cylinder won nicely for us last start and should only be suited by the rise in trip. Cafe Millenium was brilliant on debut and can measure up to these. Empire Of Japan next best.
Todman Stakes 2023 Runner by Runner
1. Cylinder (5)
Hit the line hard and scored for us last run after getting a beautiful steer. Suited by the rise in trip and appeals on a price basis over Red Resistance. James Mcdonald steers.
2. Red Resistance (3)
Hard to knock. Has been excellent to date and like the form around Steel City who was very unlucky in the Blue Diamond. Good hope here and deserves to be well in the market.
3. Empire Of Japan (2)
Should be running out the trip and Zac Purton is an eye catching booking. Will need to go to another level to challenge these but should get its chance i the small field.
4. Cafe Millenium (4)
Explosive first up winner that was raw but showed a stack of talent. Much harder here but also hard to knock the win and it can measure up to these. The $7.00 is looming around large odds.
5. Militarize (1)
Looks out of the hunt.
