A shade over the odds in this despite probably wanting one more run. Has an excellent record at the 1600 but the wide draw is a query. $41.00 is a large price. Place chance.

Deserving favourite who ticks all boxes in this. Has an elite turn of foot, maps well and James Mcdonald is 4/5 aboard when steering. This race is an ideal target and even money is a good bet.

3. Gin Martini (3)

Will be suited riding in trip.

4. Cliff’s Art (1)

Maps tricky here with its running pattern as Cliff’s Art will likely drift back from the barrier and be relying on luck in the straight. Jones is 1/1 aboard, can run into a place if the gaps open.

5. Pink Ivory (4)

Suited up in trip.

6. Honeycreeper (8)

A quality stayer that may want further but is proven over this trip. Form around Hope In Your Heart reads very well for this.

7. Bellatrix Black (6)

Excellent first up run and should enjoy the rise in trip. May be wanting further than this but with the kind draw, good map and young gun Dylan Gibbons in the saddle there is plenty to like about its chances.

8. Ruby Tuesday (10)

She can be tricky to catch but her best efforts put her in the mix and running on a good track is a big tick. This race is within reach.

9. Thalassophile (5)

Has missed the placings just 6 times from 18 career starts but does tend to enjoy some cut in the ground. Maps kindly and Craig Williams is an eye catching booking. Can win.

10. Douceur (7)

Has a running pattern that finds trouble more often than not. Prepared to risk.

11. Banana Queen (9)

Hard to knock the form Banana Queen is in. Maps to find the front in a race lacking speed and will be hard to run down if it can control the tempo. Top 2 chance.
