Cracking race. Hard to get away from Pride Of Jenni. Brilliant racing pattern and will be hard to hold out again. She was beaten by Cascadian in the Australian Cup with Mr Brightside quite a far way back behind them. Mr Brightside is a star and can bounce back to form in this. Via Sistina comes out of the Ranvet Stakes and was excellent on debut when trucking up to win. Plenty of hopes!

1. Mr Brightside (11)

Star runner that can’t be ruled out despite an uncharacteristic effort last run. Goes right in the mix here but query on the tactics from barrier 11.

2. Cascadian (6)

Swamped Pride Of Jenni to win the Australian Cup. That form puts him right in the mix and should be pouncing late.

3. Buckaroo (2)

Ran on okay last start but want to see a win before considering. Prefer others.

4. Lindermann (10)

Can’t have.

5. Kovalica (7)

Leaning to others.

6. Zeyrek (4)

Can’t have.

7. Pride Of Jenni (3)

Should land on speed and give a bold sight yet again. Brilliant last start in the Australian Cup when just being mowed down late. This race is no harder and if there is fuel in the tank this looks well within reach.

8. Via Sistina (5)

Outstanding win in the Ranvet Stakes. Can build off that run and looks poised to go right on with things. Plenty to like about how it trucked up to them with the win and finds a suitable affair here.

9. Atishu (9)

This looks too tough.

10. Place Du Carrousel (8)

Good effort last start and can build off that second placing. Goes in the mix.

11. Ceolwulf (1)

Beaten by a gun ride last start but does have a place chance here. Maps for a good run from barrier 1. Not hopeless.
