Australian Oaks 2024 Race Details
Race 6 at Randwick Racecourse on Saturday the 13th of April 2024.
The Australian Oaks is a Group 1 race held at Randwick Racecourse and is run over 2400 metres. It is for three-year-old fillies and is run under set weight conditions. The total prize money is $1,000,000 this year.

Australian Oaks 2024 Preview
Track: Good Weather: Fine
Orchestral was brilliant on Australian debut and beat the 2 main chances in the market. Zardozi loomed and traded very short at the top of the straight but the rise in trip and lack of fitness gave in. Huge hope here. Tutta La Vita ran second in the same race after taking off early and nearly pinched it. Expect the same tactics to be adpoted.
Australian Oaks 2024 Runner by Runner
1. Orchestral (3)
Outstanding last run through the Vinery Stakes when looking under pressure but found and got the win. Excellent upside. Would I take $1.40? No.
2. Quintessa (2)
Can’t have.
3. Zardozi (9)
Brilliant behind the favourite and did trade $1.15 on the bend but fitness gave in late. Should be strips fitter for the run, this trip suits and looks the value of the race. I have always been a big fan of her and she can turn the tables in this. The price looks right.
4. Tutta La Vita (7)
Almost knocked over Orchestral last start aided by a very good ride. Can be in the finish again and expect similar tactics to be adopted.
5. Autumn Angel (8)
Really good effort last week when weight was the deciding factor to the line. Brings in different form and is a player in this.
6. Basilinna (6)
Outstanding 2 back and will enjoy racing on this tack. Best roughie of the race.
7. Dances With Hooves (4)
Can’t have.
8. Piplup (10)
Prefer others.
9. True Fairy (1)
This looks too tough.
10. Bush Girl (5)
Can’t have.
