Easter Cup 2024 Preview
First Immortal comes off the back of a strong last start win. Strips fitter, maps well and should give this a shake. Carini has nice upside. Should be around the mark in what is a suitable field. Jennilala has good claims and just needs luck from the draw. Berkeley Square has proved very hard to catch over time but has the ability to be going close.

Can’t have.
2. Future History (6)
Finds a slightly easier race than last start and should be an improver here. Drawn well and has decent claims.
3. First Immortal (4)
Good first up win in open company and looks ready to go on with things now from barrier 4. 4/5 over this trip and 2/2 on this track. Ticks plenty of boxes and looks very hard to hold out against this lot.
4. Deny Knowledge (9)
Dropped out after leading last start but should be fitter for the run. Goes in the mix.
5. Suizuro (5)
Coming off winning the Yarra Cup and there has been form from the race since. Query on the depth of that but maps well and is a chance here.
6. Berkeley Square (10)
Good run last start but getting very hard to catch. Will need some luck from barrier 10 but is suited to this field and should give this race a shake.
7. Captain Envious (1)
Can’t have.
8. Jennilala (8)
Having a good prep and was solid last start. Looks nicely placed in this field and was very good third up last prep. Hard to beat.
9. Carini (11)
Was a beaten favourite last run but there was plenty of merit in the run. Drawn tricky here but has the right upside and looks a contender against these.
10. Aberfeldie Boy (2)
Can’t have.
11. Shaiyhar (7)
2/3 over this trip so should enjoy the rise in distance. Maps okay from the draw and a lot to like about the finale of last run. Goes in the mix here.
12. Danish Fortune (12)
Can’t have.
