Track: Good Weather: Fine

Another Wil is an up and coming star. The wide draw and scratchings needed to get into the field are both against. Celestial Legend has claims off the back of 2 very impressive wins. Obamburumai was very good taking out the Golden Eagle in spring and looks a huge hope in this. Lady Laguna has been outstanding this prep and looks a huge chance with the light weight.

1. Think About It (15)

Has claims despite the wide draw. Maps tricky but has a stack of class and is a previous Everest winner so demands plenty of respect. Good enough to take this out if finding its best form.

2. Obamburumai (8)

Strong win on Australian debut in the Golden Eagle and demands respect off that. Goes in the mix here against a very even field.

3. Pericles (16)

Can’t have.

4. Militarize (4)

Respect from the kind draw and is hard to knock off the back of a strong prep so far. Goes in the mix and maps for a lovely run with Zac Purton riding.

5. Zougotcha (19)

Hard to knock and the past 2 wins have both been good. The knock here is the barrier.

6. Golden Mile (1)

Can’t have.

7. Kovalica (12)

Goes in the mix if finding its best form but has been down on recent efforts. Needs to lift.

8. Detonator Jack (2)

Maps well and he has plenty of class but looks short enough. Leaning to others.

9. Berkshire Shadow (13)

Can’t have.

10. Rustic Steel (7)

Prefer others.

11. Attractcable (5)

This looks too tough.

12. Lady Laguna (10)

Goes on top with a winnable weight. Has been very consistent this prep and looks supremely weighted against these. Should give this a shake from the okay draw and will be hard to hold out.

13. Democracy Manifest (11)

Prefer others.

14. Phearson (24)

Can’t have.

15. Loch Eagle (23)

This looks too tough.

16. Lindermann (22)

Strong last start win but the barrier will make things very tough. Leaning to others.

17. Semana (17)

Prefer others.

18. Another Wil (21)

Star in the making but faces a task from the barrier. Will need to be very good from out there but has been dynamic so far this prep and has a very light weight.

19. Celestial Legend (6)

Hard to knock and maps very well from the draw. Both wins this prep have been super. Top 3 chance.

20. Southport Tycoon (20)

Going well but tough draw. Leaning to others.

Prefer others.

22e. Hinged (14)

Can’t have.

23e. Navajo Peak (18)

Prefer others.

24e. Palmetto (3)

Can’t have.
