Capacity field. Zougotcha is building a good record and goes in the mix. Protagonist was well backed on its debut in AUS and won with authority. It can go on with things now. Golden Mile and Converge both have claims if finding their best. Fangirl doesn’t win out of turn but has the form around Anamoe while Mr Brightside and Alligator Blood look the 2 hardest to beat coming out of the All Star Mile.

1. Alligator Blood (12)

Every hope last start. Won’t be easy here giving weight to these but has undeniable claims and is a tough on pacer that will give backers a great sight. In the mix.

2. Mr Brightside (2)

Won this race last year. Goes on top off the last start win and is well in at the weights and gets the kind draw. Hard to oppose and he ticks all boxes in this with Zac Purton doing the steering.

3. Kirwans Lane (24)

Outclassed

4. My Oberon (7)

Can’t have.

5. Fangirl (19)

A good place bet. Has won once in the past 12 months but the form around Anamoe is super. Where to from barrier 19 its the query but she goes in the mix. Mainly as a place chance.

6. Going Global (4)

Solid US form. Keep an eye on the market.

7. Converge (6)

Back on track after last start and looks well placed in this field. Goes in the mix with Prebble steering.

8. Duke De Sessa (9)

Great to see Gibbons riding in some Group 1s. This import is a market watch.

9. Gentleman Roy (10)

Can win if left alone up on speed. Should give backers a good sight.

10. Lion’s Roar (17)

Prefer in something easier.

11. Nugget (22)

Has a great record but hard to have from the draw.

12. Bandersnatch (5)

Scored a well deserved win for us last start and maps well. Leaning to others on form but has to go in the mix.

13. Golden Mile (11)

Needs to lift off last start. Requires luck at the right time but can give this a shake and has been well tried.

14. Mustang Valley (3)

Import that will welcome any rain. Market watch.

15. Hope In Your Heart (23)

Building a great C.V. Goes in the mix despite the draw.

16. Zougotcha (13)

Quality galloper that has a super record. Should get a tow into the race and give this a shake. Top 4 chance.

17. Protagonist (8)

Import that was well backed and landed the cash fresh. No weight in this and is well placed from the Haggis camp.

18. Cepheus (16)

Prefer others.

19. Communist (21)

Hard to have from the draw. Mixes form but good enough if it finds its best.

20. Lindermann (18)

Hard to beat with the light weight and lobbing on the speed. Good roughie.

21e. Osipenko (1)

Has good form for this and can take this out if slicing up the rails.

22e. Bankers Choice (15)

Can’t have.

23e. Diamil (20)

Prefer others.

Can’t have.
