Track: Good Weather: Fine

A high quality affair where a lot of these meet again from The Everest. Giga Kick leads the market and ran super first up it. It will be hard to hold out in this. Nature Strip needs no introduction and has undeniable claims in this field. In Secret was excellent winning The Newmarket and can go on with things here. I Wish I Win hasn’t been missed by the handicapper but should run well and Private Eye will be pouncing on them late.

1. Nature Strip (7)

The king of sprints who comes into this off three losses. He won this race in 2020, 2021 and 2022. If he finds his best he beats these, its take on trust and the $5.50 seems about the right price. Hard to beat as always.

2. Lost And Running (15)

Up to these form wise. Will need some luck from the gate but has the class and quality to give this a real shake.

3. Private Eye (2)

Hasn’t been missed on the weights but has a case here. Sets up nicely from the draw and more than capable of steaming over the top of them late. Hard to beat and goes on top with the kind map.

4. Mazu (1)

In the mix and up to these. Wants a bit of give in the ground and a query from barrier 1 where it lands to in the run. Capable of winning.

5. Paulele (3)

Outclassed in this.

6. I Wish I Win (14)

Having a very good prep and has claims but 2 queries are it may want further than this trip and how it will handle the track. Needs luck from the draw but has to go in the mix.

7. Overpass (4)

Can’t have.

8. Rocketing By (8)

No luck up the straight 2 weeks back as our best of the day and should have run at least a placing. Not hopeless at all in this at $101.

9. Shelby Sixtysix (5)

Not racing well enough to figure.

10. Giga Kick (9)

Brilliant return and looks nicely placed against these. Should get a tow into the race from barrier 9 and Zac Purton is a strong booking. Hard to beat.

11. Lofty Strike (10)

Best roughie in this race. Due for a change of luck this prep and wouldn’t shock at all. Up to these and handy odds.

12. Mariamia (13)

Prefer others.

13. Passive Agressive (6)

Building a super record and can give this a shake coming off beating Eduardo. Keep safe.

14. Shades Of Rose (11)

Can’t have.

15. In Secret (12)

Untapped and mighty impressive last start. Goes in the mix off the back of that effort and suited to this trip. Large claims and nicely weighted.
