Carbine Club Stakes 2023 Race Details
Race 2 at Randwick Racecourse on Saturday the 1st of April 2023.
The Carbine Club Stakes is a Group 3 race held at Randwick Racecourse and is run over 1600 metres. It is run under set weights and penalties conditions and is for horses aged three-years-old. The total prize money is $200,000 this year.

Carbine Club Stakes 2023 Preview
Track: Good Weather: Fine
Osipenko heads the market and brings in some very good form. It looks the winner. Matcha Latte went close to Osipenko fresh but has been mixing its form since. Glint Of Silver goes in the mix while Wolverine I declared a few weeks back and couldn’t get the job done. It wouldn’t shock here but needs to lift. Melody Again looks the best rough after showing off an enormous turn of foot a few weeks ago.
Carbine Club Stakes 2023 Runner by Runner
1. Osipenko (2)
Dual nominated. If Osipenko runs here it will take a power of beating. Has the right form and looks a class above this lot.
2. Glint Of Silver (10)
Having a consistent prep but will need some luck from the draw. Consistent operator that looks a good chance to find the placings in this.
3. Wolverine (11)
Declared it last start and ran into one better who tackles stakes grade this weekend. Maps tricky but does have class and its best would give this a shake.
4. Zoe’s Promise (1)
Suited by barrier 1. Should land on the speed and give a nice kick. This race is within reach.
5. Matcha Latte (5)
Mixing form at the moment. It maps Kindly and its best just about wins this but does need to lift off recent efforts.
6. The Fortune Teller (3)
Needs to lift but was going along well prior. Keep an eye on the market.
7. My Truth (12)
Can’t have.
8. Cosmic Field (9)
Untapped with a good chance in this race. Will need a pinch of luck from the draw but has plenty of class. Expect it to be hard to beat.
9. Dubai Flyer (8)
Can’t have.
10. Gan Teorainn (2)
Import with a gun jockey aboard that is a big market watch in this. Keep safe from the Waller yard.
11. Melody Again (4)
Won from the clouds for us as best of the day. Maps to sit a little closer than last start and is absolutely in this at the $46.00. If within striking range it can mow this lot down.
12. Fall For Cindy (7)
Solid win last start running good time. Harder here but Purton in the saddle and the light weight. Respect.
