Chairman’s Quality 2023 Preview

Track: Good Weather: Fine

$7.00 the market in a wide open field. Benaud looks ready to win off the back of a strong effort and gets the services of J-Mac. Almania got the job done for us 2 back before a moderate effort last start. Gin Martini mixes its form but was a strong winner last time out while Stockman will enjoy any rain that arrives and Timour was well backed and landed the cash last start. It finds the right race to go on with things.

Chairman’s Quality 2023 Runner by Runner

1. Stockman (9)

Begging for the rain and comes into play if it gets it.

2. Torrens (1)

Hard to catch but can bob up at odds. Keep safe.

3. High Emocean (11)

Should enjoy this rise in trip and has John Allen sticking. Like the stable over the staying trips and has been well tried in early markets.

4. Asterix (17)

Just fair fresh and is going to need some luck from the draw. Leaning to others.

5. Surefire (2)

Needs to lift but gets its chance from the kind draw and soft footing.

6. Nerve Not Verve (16)

Won this race last year. Needs another win but is 1/1 on this track and has found form again. In the mix against these.

7. Benaud (7)

Suited by the trip and J-Mac steering is a good pointer. Ready to peak this prep and gets its chance in this field.

8. Sacramento (18)

Can’t have it. Too hard to catch and expected more this prep.

9. Gin Martini (10)

Won last start after staying the trip well. Needs luck from the barrier but is good enough to win.

10. Timour (5)

Well backed last start and finds the right race to go on with things.

11. Rebel Racer (6)  – SCRATCHED

12. Normandy Bridge (19)

Needs to lift on form and has a shocking draw. Prefer others.

13. Raging Bull (14)

Stayer that usually takes a while to get the trip. Has found form now and gets its chance in this field.

14. Athabascan (4)

Suited by the rise in trip and gets a kind draw. This race is suitable.

15. Almania (8)

Won 2 back with a sweet ride and hit the line hard last start. Will stay the trip and rates hard to beat in this with Gibbons sticking.

16. Le Baol (12)

Has a tendency to bob up at odds and gets to the right trip. Can win and monitor any market moves.

17. Pesto (3)

Can’t have.

18. Zelago (13)

Prefer others.

19. Tappy’s Lad (15)

This looks too tough.
