Kindergarten Stakes – 2023

Track: Good Weather: Fine

A very tricky race with plenty of angles to take. Libertad showed an enormous turn of foot to win on debut but does leap a few grades here. Barber should be able to bounce back in this field and is suited by the drop in trip. It has the runs on the board. Zulfiqar has claims in this and can bounce back to form. Introducing & Pincess Dunhallow also have claims.

1. Barber (7)

Concede it needs to lift but hasn’t had much luck its past 2 starts and looks extremely well placed in this company. Provided it has another run in it this prep and finds luck from the draw it does look the winner.

2. Zulfiqar (8)

Has the runs on the board and just needs even luck from the barrier to give this race a red hot shake.

3. Godfather (1)

Big chance from the ace draw with Purton steering. Forget last start as it was never on the track and it is well placed against these after a very good debut. Can win.

4. Introducing (9)

Has the form around Shinzo which should be more than enough for this. Maps sticky and does a bit wrong in the run but has the ability and class to be taking this out.

5. Libertad (3)

Showed off an outstanding turn of foot on debut. Up a few levels in this but hard to knock. Maps well, gets the perfect draw and the camp are on fire.

6. Tumbling (5)

Strong debut from the leading camp. Much harder here and a bit suspect on the from but all they can do is beat what’s in front of them. Place chancer.

7. Fludway (6)

Prefer others.

8. Rimbaud (11)

This looks too tough.

9. Saltaire (4)

Gone on a wild drift. Trialled well and gets J-Mac, leaning to others with form but does look nicely weighted here.

10. Remedies (10)

Has been racing well and Lane is in the saddle. Barrier 10 may be tricky and leaning to the stablemates.

11. Princess Dunhallow (2)

Won with ease last start and the runner up has bolted in since. Kind draw and far from hopeless at odds.

12. Destructive Diva (14)

Can’t have.

13. More Than A Star (12)

This looks too tough.
