All Star Mile Race Information
The All Star Mile is a 1600m weight-for-age launched by Racing Victoria as the first race in Australia where most of the field is selected by popular demand. It is held in mid-March and rotates between three different racecourses.

All Star Mile Race History
The All Star Mile was first held in 2019 as part of the Autumn Racing Carnival in Melbourne and was won by Tasmanian filly Mystic Journey trained by Adam Trindler.
For the first few years most of the field was selected by popular demand, but from 2024 the field of 16 became a mix of “Win and You’re In” and wildcards. There are 8 races to win for entry:
- Group 1 Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes (Caulfield 1400m)
- Restricted Listed Magic Millions 3YO Guineas (Gold Coast 1400m)
- Karaka Million 3YO Classic (Ellerslie (NZ) 1600m)
- Aotearoa Classic (Ellerslie (NZ) 1600m)
- Group 1 C.F. Orr Stakes (Caulfield 1400m)
- Group 1 Futurity Stakes (Caulfield 1400m)
- Group 1 Australian Guineas (Flemington 1600m)
- Group 2 Blamey Stakes (Flemington 1600m)
In October 2024 Racing Victoria announced the feature would be upgraded to Group 1 status.
