2022 Daybreak Lover Race Details
Race 7 at Eagle Farm Racecourse on Saturday 16th April 2022.
The 2022 Daybreak Lover is held at the Eagle Farm Racecourse and is run over 1400 metres. It is a race for the three-year-olds run under set weights and penalties and is one of the feature races of the day. The total prize money is $125,000.

2022 Daybreak Lover Preview
Track: Good Weather: Fine
A race over 1400 metres where the visitor Green Belt is the clear one to beat coming across from Victoria. A strong tempo ensures Flying Crazy will be hitting the line hard while Release The Beans brings in the right kind of form and Chris Waller may just suprise these with Cape Breton who has certainly found its way since being gelded.

1. Release The Beans (2)
Likeable map and an in-form jockey in James Orman does the steering. Good each-way hope and will get the run of the race.
2. Flying Crazy (14)
Has a get-back run-on pattern but a strong tempo should suit and it has the turn of foot to win this race.
3. Dark Destroyer (1)
Looks dangerous and while the form is hard to line up the market watch is advised. Could blow these away if well backed.
4. Cape Breton (8)
Brings in the Sydney form and respecting the placement of Chris Waller. Hard to beat in this field and a good hope at double figures.
6. Menazzi (6)
Well backed in early markets and gets the desired good track as well as a likeable draw and map. Strong chance at odds.
7. Mishani Sniper (10)
Tough draw but loves this track and trip, also likes a good track. Good chance at odds.
8. Green Belt (13)
The one to beat despite the awkward gate. It copped heat in the lead last start and found a will to win. Certainly has plenty of upside and just has to handle the track to be very hard to beat. Has the right form and should be in the finish.
9. Majestic’s Request (11)
Can’t have.
10. Ashgrove (5)
Not a noted first-up performer but Gollan knows how to win the big races so respect the market moves.
11. You’ll Be Mist (3)
Would surprise is in this as a beaten favourite last start however the placement has to be respected and could be a knockout hope at odds.
12. Rayjen (7)
Handles the track so certainly is not hopeless at odds but I would want to see some market support
13. Rocklily (4)
Over the odds coming across from Sydney. Maps for the right run with an in-form jockey, the only query is the 1400 probably isn’t the best trip for it. Certainly has a chance in this.
14. Fear The Night (9)
Can’t have.
