2022 Adelaide Guineas Race Details
Race 7 at Morphettville on Saturday 14 May 2022.
The Adelaide Guineas is a Listed 1600 metre set weights race for the three-year-olds that is run by the South Australian Jockey Club in May. It is normally run at Morphettville during the Adelaide Racing Carnival.

Adelaide Guineas 2022 Preview
Track: Good possible Soft Weather: Possible Shower.
Thirteen runners have accepted for the $107,250 Listed Adelaide Guineas and there has been no early scratchings. The Tony and Calvin McEvoy stable has two runners entered for the event whilst every other trainer has just one entry each.
Illation has opened a very short favourite following his dominant display in the H C Nitschke Stakes, where he dominated the field by over 3.5 lengths. He remains unbeaten and he is aiming for his third win in a row. Star of Chaos is on the second line of betting and she is coming out of the same race as Illation where she finished 3.75 lengths back in third. She is also entered in for Flemington on Saturday, so keep an eye on the scratchings.
Umgawa rounds out the top three in the betting and he is coming out of a fourth placing behind Tonneofgrit at Flemington over the 1400m and he is also entered for Flemington on Saturday.

6.2 lengths fifth behind Illation last start. Place chance.

Coming back to 1600m after a solid fourth in the Chairman’s Stakes. Drawn well and another solid place chance.

Can’t have.

Looks outclassed. Entered for Port Augusta on Friday also.

Outclassed.
9. Flight Deck (6)
Will appreciate coming back to a mile. Might run a cheeky race.
