2022 Sires’ Produce Stakes Race Details
Race 3 at Morphettville on Saturday 14 May 2022.
The Sires’ Produce Stakes is a Group 3 1400 metre set weights race for the two-year-olds that is run by the South Australian Jockey Club in May. It is normally run at Morphettville during the Adelaide Racing Carnival.

Sires’ Produce Stakes 2022 Preview
Track: Good possible Soft Weather: Possible Shower.
Eleven runners have accepted for the $127,250 Group 3 Sires’ Produce Stakes and there has been no early scratchings. The Leon MacDonald and Andrew Gluyas stable has two runners entered for the event whilst every other trainer has just one entry each.
Twin Stars has opened up the favourite for the Tony and Calvin McEvoy stable following his second placing to See You In Heaven in the Breeders Stakes. Next in the betting is the Victorian visitor in Kings Consort who came from near last to win the Showdown over the 1200m at Caulfield. Solar Blast rounds out the top three in betting after running third in a 1050m race at Morphettville recently where he over-raced throughout.
Sires’ Produce Stakes Runner by Runner
1. Twin Stars (3)
Second in the Breeders Stakes behind See You In Heaven. 1400m looks like it suits and the form might not be too bad going forward.
2. Kings Consort (10)
Smashed the line at Caulfield over the 1200m. 1400m suits and but he will likely be giving them a start once again. Providing the track players fair, he is a good chance to win this.
3. Solar Blast (9)
This bloke overrated throughout his 2 lengths third placing to Prairie Flower at Morphettville. Gets the winkers first time and a more experienced jockey. PLace chance.
4. Spencer’s Spirit (6)
Can’t have against these.
5. Cold One (11)
Did a lot wrong at Sale when narrowly beaten. Can’t have here.
6. Hope At Hand (4)
Finished three lengths off See You In Heaven and 1.4 lengths off Twin Stars last start. Solid place chance.
7. Street Delight (8)
Very unlucky last start when fourth behind See You In Heaven. She could surprise a few here.
8. Miss Dunsford (2)
Place chance at best on her best.
9. Sandpiper (7)
Blinkers on first-time. Could run a cheeky race at a big price.
10. Sirius Princess (1)
Can’t have.
11. Aesculus (5)
Outclassed.
