There are 10 three-year-olds for the 2024 The Fotobase Group Morphettville Guineas with 8 geldings and 2 fillies. They all come through different races and have had 1 to 12 starts. One runner is a maiden.

The early favourite is Easy Dun who was super impressive winning his only start over 1400m at Bendigo by 2.3 lengths. Second favourite is Air Assault who already has a Group 3 win and a Listed win on his resume. Third favourite is A Samurai Mind who won his only start at Murray Bridge. Poppin’ Champagne was a 2.3 length winner over 1600m at Moe at her latest start. All other runners are currently $12 or longer.

1. Air Assault (9)

He’s already had 11 starts. He resumed from a 16 week spell to run 2 lengths 4th in the Listed City Of Marion Stakes against the older horses over 1200m at Morphettville on 24th February. Last campaign he ran 3rd to Apulia in the Group 2 Moonee Valley Vase over 2040m and won the Listed Hill Smith Stakes over 1800m at Morphettville. In his first campaign he won the Group 3 SAJC Sires’ Produce Stakes. over 1400m at Morphettville. Versatile gelding who rates highly.

2. Easy Dun (7)

Dundeel gelding who was super impressive winning his only start over 1400m at Bendigo by 2.3 lengths. Strong chance.

3. Harley’n’rose (4)

He has only won one of his 12 starts but has placed twice at Group 3 level. He’s placed at his last 3 starts and gets winkers back on. Capable of getting into the money.

4. A Samurai Mind (6)

Won his only start at Murray Bridge after being slowly away. Don’t dismiss.

5. Under The Cone (10)

Broke his maiden over 1600m at Strathalbyn 2 starts ago then ran 5th at Murray Bridge last start. prefer others.

7. Enciphering (2)

Worked home late in the race to finish fourth behind Angelic Appeal over 1400m at Morphettville Parks on 2nd March.at his third run back from a spell. This is tougher but 1600m and the bigger track will help his chances.

8. Aramoso (5)

The only maiden runner, although he has placed in 2 of his 4 runs this campaign. This looks too hard..

9. Time To Chat (1)

Pierro filly that broke her maiden over 1600m at Sandown Hillside on 24th January, then ran 5th in the Group 2 Autumn Classic over 1800m at Caulfield last outing. Place chance.

10. Poppin’ Champagne (8)

Was a 2.3 length winner over 1600m at Moe on 25th February after running 2nd at Pakenham the start before. Has claims.
