The Concorde Stakes is a Group 3 race held at Randwick Racecourse and is run over 1000 metres. It is run under set weights and penalties conditions. The total prize money is $1,000,000 this year.

Concorde Stakes 2023 Preview
Track: Soft Weather: Cloudy
A cracking edition of this years Concorde Stakes where Eduardo and Nature Strip are set to dual again. The 1000m heavily favours Eduardo however Nature Srip does have the 8-4 record over Eduardo. In Secret will be the one storming home. Rocketing By is a sneaky place chance in this while Zapateo creates interest and has been heavily backed in early markets.
Concorde Stakes 2023 Runner by Runner
1. Nature Strip (11)
No denying the champ and he will be hard to beat in this. Has been a minute between wins and would need to find something back to his best but the first up record and track record he both has are hard to ignore. Rolls across from the draw and if he settles in the run will take a power of beating in this.
2. Shelby Sixtysix (6)
Outclassed. Needs it wet. Prefer others.
3. Eduardo (1)
Has the gate advantage over Nature Strip, flies fresh and absolutely loves the 1000m here. Ticks enough boxes to be the one to topple Natrue Strip however he does also need to find his best to take this out.
4. Kallos (8) – SCRATCHED
5. In Secret (5)
The new blood and one that could cause the boil over. Excellent last prep however does look up against it with the weights. Short enough in markets but does have claims in this field.
6. Bella Nipotina (3)
Excellent last prep and loved her run behind Overpass. Might just need to find a length to threaten these but does tackle this race with a few of the big guns not ar their best. Not hopeless.
7. Rocketing By (2)
Tends to bob up at odds. Nice draw and enjoys this track. Might lack the class of some of these but can rattle home if they over do it. Place chance.
8. Zapateo (9)
Good last prep and formlines are nice for this. Likely to take the sit behind Nature Strip and Eduardo and could have last say. Has been very well backed in early markets.
9. Remarque (10)
Good fresh before 2 sound efforts. Needs to find a bit to be winning this but has always shown a stack of talent. Gets its chance.
10. On The Lead (7)
Can’t have.
11. Casino Lord (4)
Prefer others.
