Track: Soft Weather: Fine
Enormous field. Hosier is racing super for the new stable and gets another chance to win. Kalapour is up these if finding its best. Military Mission maps for a kind run. Desert Icon is due for another win but may get that here while Fancy Man has been racing in good fashion and is set to peak. A few of these are dual nommed so expect some scratching’s.

Has been hitting form on our shores. Consistent operator that should have every hope from the good draw. Maps for the run of the race and gets its chance against these.

Classy runner that is up to these on its best form. Sticky draw but likeable hopes in this winnable race.
6. Fancy Man (7)
Heading in the right direction. Gets the in form jockey and the stable have had an enormous past 12 months. Should prove hard to hold out.
7. Hosier (13)
Maps tricky but racing well and gets its chance. Has gone super since the stable change.
8. Kalapour (9)
Good booking with Tim Clark. Can lob up on the speed and give a bold sight. Hard to beat in this.
9. Spirit Ridge (3)
Could be the value. Stuck on well last start with a run that wasn’t to suit. Formlines read well for a race like this. Should be half its price.
10. High Emocean (6)
Likely looking for further.
11. Hopeful (16)
Keep an eye on the market.

Gets the gun run and has the booking of King. Lobs up on speed and has the form to give this race a shake. Deserving to be in the market and a live top 3 hope.

Comments: The Mediterranean ridden by Regan Bayliss went amiss near the 700m mark resulting interference to much of the field. Tim Clark came off Kalapour and Brett Prebble came off Pretty Amazing. The Mediterranean was later euthanized but all other horses avoided any serious injury after Alegron, Hosier and Hopeful were eased out of the race. It was a grey quinella with 2 riderless horses coming home OK.
