Track: Good Weather: Fine

A contest over the 1400m. Williamsburg comes up favourite. Classy when at best but does need to overcome the wide draw fresh. Cepheus was a strong winner last start and finds the right race to go on with things with James Orman in the saddle. Fender goes on top with the strong ratings and profile. Can give this a shake and maps a treat. Hot Spring Gold goes in the mix and has a sharp turn of hoof when on song. Tumbler Ridge is good when at its best but hard to catch.

Good last start win. Has to lump a fair bit of weight but has class on this lot and looks hard to hold out. Orman is in the mix.

Racing in good fashion. Maps kindly and is capable of taking out a race of this depth.

3. Tumbler Ridge (8)

Hard to catch but excellent when on song. Risky bet but good enough to take this out.

4. Bonaparte (9)  SCRATCHED

5. Fender (4)

Goes on top. Maps well and brings the right profile and ratings. Maps kindly for Thompson and this race is ideal. Hard to beat with 55 on its back.

6. Looks Like Elvis (12)

Hard to catch. Keep an eye on the betting.

7. Williamsburg (11)

Hard to beat fresh. Maps sticky but is the class runner of the race and does have the strongest rating profile. Looks the right price currently but is a market watch in this.

8. Chassis (5)  – SCRATCHED

9. Animate (1)

Hoped for more last start. Would want the track soft.

10. Bullfinch (2)

Better than the form looks. Maps kindly and at its best can give this a shake. Not hopeless and has been specked in early markets.

11. Hot Spring Gold (6)

Can pull out a big run at times. Maps kindly and gets the gun KWT in the saddle. This looks an ideal race. Looks the right price. Top 3 chance.

12. Shaquero (10)

Maps tricky from barrier 10. Hard horse to catch but did like the last start run. Take on trust. Respect any market moves.
