Track: Good Weather: Good

Not much between these in the market. Gin Martini is the only mare in the race and has hit her straps and won well last start after knocking on the door. Dr Drill isn’t the punters pal but hasn’t been closer to a win and warrants respect with the right form lines for this. Regal Lion should be suited out in trip while Bonny Ezra mixes its form but finds the right race to put together back to back wins.

Seven of the 11 runners had their last start in the Listed ATC Cup over 2000m at Rosehill on 26 November.

1. Dr Drill (1)

Dr Drill on top here and he really needs another win but this looks the right race and shouldn’t spend a penny from barrier 1. Good effort last run, Avdulla sticks and overall really gets its chance against this bunch. Hard to beat.

2. Warning (2)

Nash is 2/3 aboard Warning so him sticking is a solid sign here in a race that is winnable. It was only fair last run but looks set to peak. The query is the record at the trip, 4 goes for 0 placings.

3. Torrens (11)

Prefer others.

4. Bonny Ezra (3)

Solid win last start. Maps Kindly here and now has to handle the rise in weight. Bonny Ezra does tend to mix its form so that is the query but if it replicates last run it can take this out.

5. Regal Lion (6)

Hit the line well over the 2000 in a race with a few of these including Bonny Ezra and Dr Drill. Suited out to the 2400 and the stable are excellent with their stayers. Major player.

6. Gin Martini (5)

Gin Martini just grinded away the start prior but it put it all together last run for a good win. It has always shown good ability and finds a race lacking depth. Well placed to go right on with things here.

7. Pale King (4)

Pale King was just fair last run but gets a nice draw and a good set up here. The 2400 is an ideal trip, it maps Kindly and should go close in a field of this depth.

8. Mcgeehan (8)

Going along okay and won last start in a race that has less depth to this. Collett will need some luck early from the draw but overall this race is thin and it has nice upside. The query is the Randwick record of 0/2.

9. Criminal Code (9)

Needs to find more and the jockey is out of form. That being said Waller is good at getting horses to reverse their form and it has been well tried in early markets. Respect any large moves for it.

10. Rondino (10)

Went okay last run after 2 wins in a row prior. Suited with the light weight and the in form apprentice to do the steering. This race is within reach but barrier 10 is the clear knock.

11. Kozluca (7)

Can’t have.
