Brisbane Handicap – 2022

Track: Good Weather: Good

Linthorpe Lad comes up favourite and has been a model of consistency this prep. It will take some hold put in this. Dzsenifer loves racing at this track and is drawn to receive every chance while She’s The Gift has been racing in open company and hails from the respected Waller yard. Tempo looks to be solid in this.

1. London Banker (4)

Should improve 2nd up and likes racing on this track. Orman has an excellent record aboard and the map is ideal. Monitor market moves for a sign of how ready it is to win.

2. Pancho (1)

Hasn’t won for a long time but does come back another notch here. Hard to trust from a punters perspective but absolutely has the ability to take this out. Keep an eye on market moves for it.

3. Dzsenifer (5)

Flies on this track and is the map horse of the race. Loves the trip and should enjoy whatever conditions it faces. Weighted kindly, this race is within reach.

4. She’s The Gift (9)

Like the chances of She’s The Gift. It has been racing well in open company and finds a very suitable field. It hasn’t missed the placings from 2 goes at the track and is set to peak 3rd up. With even luck from the draw it is the one to beat.

5. Bullfinch (6)  – SCRATCHED

6. Linthorpe Lad (7)

Linthorpe Lad is having an excellent prep. It couldn’t keep the winning streak going last run but was far from disgraced. This race is within reach and Larry Cassidy is in very solid form.

7. Couldn’t Refuse (8)

Like the form around Couldn’t Refuse. It comes out of the right races and Byrne knows the horse very well. A drying track will be ideal for it and this distance is very suitable with 19 career starts at this trip for 8 wins. Keep safe.

8. Don’t Stop (3)

Mixing form and this race looks too tough. Prefer others.

9. Adelase (2)

Was poor fresh but has a very average first up record. Expect improvement second up but yet to win in its past at this stage of its prep, prefer others and probably needs a few more runs rot consider.
