Juan Diva leads the market and has every reason to be going close with the right form, draw and jockey. This race is suitable. Salteen knows the reach well and should be ready to peak third up while Better Get Set continues to win and can measure up this field. The best chance at odds is California Surreal who brings in the NSW form and maps kindly for the Snowdens stable.

Four mares had their last start in the Listed Tatts Classic Fillies & Mares Plate over 1200m at Gold Coast on 26 November. There are no fillies in the race this year.

1. Juan Diva (1)

Like Juan Diva in this. Maps to perfection, brings in the A-one form and gets the services of James Orman. Everything points to Juan Diva winning and it won’t get a better chance than this. Goes clearly on top and this race is very suitable.

2. Salateen (9)

Was just fair last run but should be ready to peak here and is a classy galloper when on song. Byrne has a good record aboard and overall this race is quite thin. Can win.

3. Centrefire (4)

Suited from barrier 4 and likes racing at Eagle Farm. Knocked up first up but should be strips fitter here and gets map and barrier favours. Keep safe in a suitable race.

4. Kisukano (8)

Quality galloper that has been mixing its form. Best to keep an eye on the market to see where the horse is at.

5. Dragon Miss (5)

Keeps wining and racing well. This is much harder and it will need to find a few lengths to threaten these but Dragon Miss has nice upside and Cartwright sticks for the ride here.

6. Better Get Set (7)

Winning machine that can measure up to this bunch. Thompson knows the horse well, it flies on this track and is having an excellent prep. Ticks boxes and is hard to knock .

7. Grande Rumore (12)

Disappointing prep thus far for Grande Rumore but excuses has been offered. It needs to find more but barrier 12 gives no favours and this race isn’t the easiest.

8. Dash For Dreams (3)

Needs to lift.

9. Rayjen (11)

Prefer others.

10. California Surreal (2)

Like the form around California Surreal. The stable are having an excellent year and Cassidy has options from the draw. This race is by all means within reach and its worth respecting any market moves.

11. Gunmetal Girl (10)

Prefer in easier.

12. Wicked’n’ Lovin’it (6)

Can’t have.
