A field of 13 where only 6 have raced before, with 2 winners. There are 5 colts and 8 fillies. Two are by first season sire Trapeze Artist (Disneck and Facile) where Disneck has become the first winner for his sire. Plenty to learn. The first starter Facile heads the market with Avdulla in the saddle and trialled up well. Blanc De Blanc did enough when. very short odds on favourite on debut. Disneck brings in good ratings but will need some luck from the draw while Line Of Law maps kindly and can run a nice race here.

3. Disneck (12)

Won well last start and that rated the best out of this bunch. The draw isn’t kind and the favourite gets a large map advantage but Disneck does have quality and can give this a shake.

4. The Little Pumper (7)

Keep an eye on the market. Trials were solid and Tim Clark is a good push in terms of a booking. This field is within reach on debut.

5. Worx (6)

Can’t have.

6. Blanc De Blanc (13)

Just got the job done as a very short favourite. Given the amount of market respect it clearly has above average ability and can go now with things here, albeit will need some luck from the wide draw.

7. Cathay Bracelet (9)

Can’t have.

8. Facile (5)

Loved the trials of Facile. Avdulla steers here and it is very well placed to make a winning debut. If it can bring its trials to race day these will likely be running for 2nd.

9. Istoria Girl (4)

Can’t have.

10. Line Of Law (2)

Went okay on debut and gets favours with the map and draw here. Place chance in a tricky field.

11. Mercury Rose (3)

Can’t have.

12. Saltaire (1)

Has to be over the odds after nearly rolling the $6 chance Blanc De Blanc, barrier 1 can be put to good use and this is within reach. Well over the odds given the last start finishing margin.

13. Tango Fever (11)

Raced well on debut in open company and was respected in the market. That form has to be a slight query here but it was a solid enough effort to consider.
