Race 4 at Eagle Farm Racecourse on Saturday 28th May 2022.

The 2022 BRC Sires Produce Stakes is held at Eagle Farm Racecourse and is run over 1400 metres. It is a Group 2 for the two-year-olds and is run under set weights. The total prize money is $1,000,000.

Track: Soft Weather: Fine

Plenty of chances in this race with a tightly bunched market. Resonator is hard to knock and will land on the speed with Tim Clark in the saddle. Political Debate has the Waller polish and will do no work from barrier 1. Nice to see Swiss Exile back up after a very impressive win with Exo Lady behind it who draws to perfection and looks placed to be in the finish.

1. Twin Stars (4)

Going along well and hit the line hard once it was clear last start. In with a shout here launching from the ideal draw.

2. Swiss Exile (11)

Continued to kick in heavy conditions last weekend. On the quick back up and should be rock hard fit. The stable have an opinion of this one and it is a major player in this.

3. Mishani Warfare (10)

Can’t have.

4. Brereton (16)

Needs to lift a little after last run but the booking of Jamie Kah is a good one and it does have the box ticked of having seen the track before. First 4 chance.

5. Capital Tower (6)

Went well enough last run to not dismiss but does need to find a few lengths. Getting back onto drier ground may suit, chance.

6. Calgary Stampede (7)

This looks too tough.

7. Cocobrew Express (19)

Can’t have.

8. Thelwell (17)

Has the right formlines for this but dealt no favours with the draw. Hard to see it winning but a chance for top 4.

9. Liberty Steps (21)

Barrier 21 will need an almighty peach to take this out but Liberty Steps has plenty of upside and if things fall into place from the draw it can figure in the finish.

10. Resonator (12)

Very tough operator who will lob right on the speed and continue to kick. Tim Clark sticks and it looks very hard to beat with good early speed to offset the draw.

11. Merchant Prince (3)

Was good enough last run to respect in this from the nice draw. Top 4 chance.

12. Green Shadows (18)

Barrier 18 makes things difficult but Nash is in very good form. Some hope but does need luck from the draw.

13. Allude (13)

Can’t have.

14. Victory Moments (20)

Very smart operator who continues to win. Massive leap in grade here but has been putting them away in style and this race is within reach.

15. Robusto (14)

Respecting the placement by Waller and form around Nettuno. Major player in this field.

16. Exo Lady (2)

Has to find a few lengths to beat Swiss Exile but should get its chance from the draw. Solid hope in a very even race.

17. Sheeza Belter (15)

Going along well and ran excellent last start. Keep an eye on the market.

18. Tyresa (22)

Has to lift from last run and comes up with a horror draw. Keep an eye on the market.

19e. Ringmaster (23)

Made hard work of it last start in an easier race but does have talent and is learning the craft still. Not out of this.

20e. Basquiat (5)

Going along well and gets its chance from the draw. Top 4 hope.

21e. Owen County (8)

Gets respect here and has the right form. $41 looks over the odds, sneaky hope of taking this out.

22e. Political Debate (1)

Great chance with barrier 1 and J-Mac aboard. Has the right form and highly progressive, one of the best hopes in an even race.

23e. Metallicity (9)

Good enough to win this, keep an eye on the market. Has potential and shown enough to date.
