Track: Soft Weather: Fine

A wide open race. Daqiansweet Junior should be ready to peak third up. Can sit closer to the speed and go close in this. Desert Icon continues to win and should employ the front running tactics again from barrier 2. Lunar Flare is a model of consistency and gets a nice draw. Interpretation and High Emocean come from the Maher & Eustace stable and warrant some serious though. The tempo will be solid with Desert Icon kicking up from the low draw.

1.  Sheraz (13)

Having a good prep and ran without much luck last start. Sheraz has a handy third up record but Oliver will need a stack of luck from the draw. Can go close if things fall into place for it.

2. Vow And Declare (5)

A long time between drinks but starting to find form now and ready to peak third up. Hard to back given the dry winning streak but also wouldn’t shock.

3. Serpentine (4)

Prefer others.

4. Daqiansweet Junior (10)

Kah mentioned midweek she would like to sit handier next ride. Expect a prominent steer and Daqiansweet Junior flies over this trip having never missed the quinella from 2 goes. Very hard to beat.

5. Desert Icon (2)

Continues to win and is drawn to receive every chance. Prebble rides the horse well and its hard to find a reason why it won’t be in the finish again at healthy odds.

6. San Huberto (15)

Flies 2nd up. Yendall will need to be very good from the wide draw but this race is within reach. Keep safe and give respect to any late market moves.

7. Midnight Blue (9)

Needs to lift to threaten and the stable are going through a rough patch. Wouldn’t completely shock but leaning to others at this stage.

8. Lunar Flare (3)

Keeps running well and should be in the finish from the draw. Has never missed the quinella over this trip and Michael Dee rides the horse well. Major player agains this lot.

9. High Emocean (14)

A good steer and win last run. Putting back to back wins on the trot is the query and given no favours again with the draw but this race is within reach and just has to run similar to its last start effort to be going close here.

10. Interpretation (8)

Ran well last start and the stable print money over this trip. Williams does the steering and the 2510 should suit. Well placed and hard to beat in this fiel. The $4.40 on offer is fair.

11. Francesco Guardi (6)

A tricky horse to catch but its best is more than good enough and Waller is very good at placement. This field does suit, I’d highly respect any market moves.

12. Aurora’s Symphony (11)

Can’t have in this field.

13. The Good Fight (1)

Prefer others.

14. Team Captain (7)

Has to improve to be taking this out but did go extremely well last prep and needs to be respected if finding its old form.

15. King Of The Castle (12)

Needs to improve on Australian shores. The stable are having a very rough patch in Melbourne at the moment and it seemed to be quite poor last run. Has to lift to threaten these.
