Track: Heavy   Weather: Showers Easing

Ten runners have accepted for the $200,000 Group 3 Breeders’ Plate and there have been no early scratchings. Team Snowden has two runners entered each whilst the rest of the trainers have just one entry each.

Physical Graffiti is the early favourite at $3.40. He is a son of Russian Revolution who will be trained by John O’Shea and recently ran second in his trial at Randwick.

Empire of Japan and Tarabeau are second and third in the betting at $4.60. Empire of Japan is a well-bred son of Snitzel who will be trained by the Snowdens, and he was a tight second to rival Flying Trapeze in their latest trial. Tarabeau is a son of Brazen Beau and he will be trained by the Waterhouse/Bott combination. He won his trial convincingly by almost two lengths after showing some early speed.

Full brother to Omar and Mount Fuji who are both handy sprinters. Ran second in his latest trial. Drawn poorly.

2. Flying Trapeze (4)

No notable siblings. Won his trial by a slim margin. Drawn well here to head forward and set the tone.

3. Insane Volt (5)

Two siblings who haven’t performed well. Finished two lengths back in a Warwick Farm trial. Can’t have.

4. Legolas (1)

No siblings. Finished well back in his trial. Hard to have.

5. Mach Ten (2)

No siblings. Led in his trial and won by almost half a length. Drawn beautifully to kick up here and he will get his chance.

6. Make A Call (9)

Four siblings with a small number of wins. Ran okay in his trial but finished 2.4 lengths off the winner. Drawn ordinary.

7. Physical Graffiti (6)

One sibling who is yet to win. Trialled nicely when finishing one length back in second. Drawn okay and could get a gun run throughout.

8. Snatchreilly (7)

One sibling who has placed at Newcastle. Trialled nicely in good time throughout, finishing off the trial well. Could be value.

9. Tarabeau (10)

No siblings. Won his trial convincingly by almost two lengths. Showed nice early pace which he will need from this wide gate.

10. Zulfiqar (3)

No siblings. One trial where he was 5.2 lengths back in third. Entered for Flemington on Saturday also. Drawn well here and could run a race.
