Sixteen runners have accepted for the $200,000 Group 3 Gimcrack Stakes and there have been no early scratchings. Team Snowden, the Marc Conners stable and the Waterhouse/Bott stable have three runners entered each whilst the rest of the trainers have just one entry each.

Perfect Proposal is the early favourite at $2.90. She is a daughter of Russian Revolution who will be trained by Gai Waterhouse & Adrian Bott and she recently won her trial nicely at Randwick.

Sicilian is on the second line of betting at $4.60. She is a well-bred daughter of I Am Invincible who will be trained by Gai Waterhouse & Adrian Bott, and she won her trial much like her stablemate at Randwick.

Satin and Silk is on the third line of betting at $7.00. She is a daughter of I Am Invincible and she will be trained by Team Snowden. She ran second in her trial behind Perfect Proposal and she was unable to bridge the gap, finishing 2.2 lengths back.

One sibling who has placed three times in six starts. Trialled poorly and drawn poorly here.

2. Blind Date (13)

Plenty of siblings combining for 14 winners. Trialled okay but she would need to be better, especially from the poor draw.

3. Divine Glory (5)

Half-sister to Taken On Chance who has won eight races. Trialled well and is drawn to get a nice run. Place chance.

4. Just Gisella (15)

Half-sister to Agassi, who amassed $300,000 in prize money. Won her trial well enough but has drawn the car park. Will need luck.

5. Kata Kapi (8)

All four siblings have won two races minimum. Trialled okay and she is also entered for Flemington on Saturday. Can’t have.

6. Kimmela (3)

No Siblings. Trials suggest she would be better in weaker races.

7. Perfect Proposal (9)

Half-Sister to Group placed Lady Sharapova and Listed placed Papillon. Won her trial by over two lengths and is drawn to head straight to the top. Hard to beat.

8. Platinum Jubilee (10)

Half-Sister to three time Group 3 winner Queen of the Ball. Won her trial by a length and her draw isn’t the worst here. She might surprise a few.

9. Queen of the Mile (6)

Full sister to Listed winner Tyresa. Trialled poorly and gets the blinkers on here. Take on trust.

10. Rockabilly Rebel (7)

Half-sister to Call Me Shamus who won eight starts. Won her trial by two lengths but she may struggle to keep that speed against these.

11. Satin And Silk (1)

Half-sister to Listed winner Satin Slipper, Satin Socks, and Satin Ribbons. Triall was just okay and she will get better in time.

12. Sicilian (12)

Full-sister to two horses who have won. She won her trial by 1.5 lengths and did it well at both ends. Drawn a touch awkward so she will need luck but she has to be respected.

13. Sky Artist (14)

Half-sister to two horses with a little amount of starts. Narrowly missed in her trial. Can’t have from a shocking draw.

14. Winning Run (2)

No siblings. Poor trial.

Three siblings. Prefer others.

16e. Outcast Girl (4)

Two siblings. Trialled poorly. Prefer others.
