Edward Manifold Stakes – 2022

Track: Soft Weather: Fine

A race that presents plenty of value and its the corner of Moko I am in after rocketing home first up and being completely luckless in the run. That looks the right form for this race and Jamie Kah takes the steer. She’s Licketysplit has the strong form for this race and will just need some luck from the draw  while Sumatra comes from the Godolphin camp who are on fire at the moment. The tempo looks moderate.

1.  She’s Licketysplit (8)

Brings in some strong form to the race and just needs luck from the draw to go close. Lane takes the steer and the soft conditions suit, brings in arguably the best form into this race and should be going close.

2. Sumatra (11)

Will need luck from barrier 11 but did hit the line well last run so the rise in trip should suit. The camp are winning everything at the moment so they must be highly respected here.

3. Do It La (10)

Mighty impressive last run against the bias. Nolen takes the steer and has a very strong winning strike rate with P Moody. Expect it to be winding up late and hitting the hard.

4. Moko (5)

On top against these. Ran as best bet a few weeks back with an average steer. Jamie Kah takes the ride and if you look through the form of Moko last prep it matched it with some very handy types. Beat the likes of Matcha Latte, El Padrino and Kote. From barrier 5 it should be able to camp just off the speed and run over them late.

5. Anphina (13)

Good win last start. Much harder here but respect any market moves.

6. Vagrant (14)

Still caught on the one win and has been unlucky its past few runs. Gets no favours from the draw but if they can run on from the back it could surprise these.

7. Street Delight (3)

Prefer others.

8. Typhoon Titmus (2)

Major player after having little luck last run. Mcneil will be able to secure a nice spot from barrier 2 and it has the right amount of upside to give this a shake.

9. Celestial Spirit (12)

Prefer others.

10. Tajneed (7)

Won well last start. Major rise in grade here but respect the stables placement and monitor any market moves.

11. Starianne (4)

No jockey booked so may be saved for another day. Ran well enough last start to be a top 4 contender here.

12. As Time Goes By (1)

Not sure barrier 1 suits but like the return of As Time Goes By. Yet to run a poor race and can give these something to think about.

13. Foxy Cleopatra (9)

Ran well last start and gets the rise in trip here. Shinn takes the steer and this race is within reach.

14.Whispering Lady (6)

Good debut and Williams is an eye catching booking. Open race but looks a chance to fight out the finish at healthy odds.
