Mo’unga leads the market and has returned nicely to form this prep. Nash does the steering from the kind barrier and it just has to hold its form to be going close. Gold Trip was solid when resuming and can go one better in this. James Mcdonald sticks on hinged while Montefilia was doing her best work late and won last years edition of this race. Import Dubai Honour creates interest from the William Haggas yard and also looks primed to run a bold race.

1. Gold Trip (8)

May want further but was very good fresh and has to be respect in this. Was the 2022 Melbourne Cup winner and looks well suited out to the 2000, albeit may still find this a bit too short.

2. Mo’unga (6)

Unbeaten over this track and trip and Is racing as well as ever. The form around Anamoe reads kindly and expecting Mo’unga to be fighting out the finish. Maps to perfection from barrier 6.

3. Dubai Honour (2)

Might just blow these away. Brings in some superb form and Haggas is a world class trainer, particularly with stayers. This race is suitable.

4. Raise You (4)

Keep an eye on the markets. Has a tidy record but will likely want a longer trip.

5. Bankers Choice (7)

Prefer others.

6. El Bodegon (3)

Hit and miss and is more take on trust at the moment. Leaning to others in better form.

7. Montefilia (5)

Loved her return. She hit the line well and won this race last year. Superb record at this track, excellent second up record and proven on all surfaces. Big chance.

8. Hinged (1)

Hinged is racing well enough to consider and should relish this rise in trip. JMac rides from barrier 1 and its important to note he sticks. Respect any moves.
