Even field for the stayers. Glory Daze comes up favourite and has good claims against this lot. Gets respect from the astute stable. Sir Lucan had a soft lead fresh but kicked well and gets its chance to build upon that. High Emocean knows how to stay and with John Allen booked must be respected while Almania is in the mix on the quick backup and aided by a superb ride last weekend.

1. Sir Lucan (4)

Given a soft time in front and kicked clear fresh. Can repeat the dose here but the form around Sacramento didn’t hold up the other day. If it improves it can take this out. Top 2 chance.

2. Torrens (6)

Nightmare to catch. Prefer others.

3. High Emocean (1)

Consistent galloper that will be hitting the line hard. Respecting that John Allen is booked and is a strong contender in this field. Keep safe.

4. Glory Daze (8)

Put together 2 flashy wins and gets its chance in this field. Brings in winning form which some of these don’t have and the stable are outstanding with their stayers. Short enough but hard to beat.

5. Almania (11)

Got the cash for us last week and is on the quick back up here. Has the wide draw to overcome which is some query but this race is well within reach.

6. Le Baol (7)

Decent return and ran well in this race last year. Needs another win but gets the right race to notch that up. Solid top 3 chance with even luck from the draw.

7. Alakahan (5)

Yet to show much the past few runs. Prefer to see.

8. Raging Bull (9)

Goes well open its day but needs to lift on form.

9. Timour (2)

Well tried in early markets and has been very well backed again here. Maps Kindly and left a bit flat footed when the sprint went on behind a handy one in So Unusual. That form looks okay for this and it is worth respecting the large market push.

10. Pesto (10)

Can’t have it the way it is going.

11. Secret Glamour (3)

Needs to lift on current form but can show a handy turn of foot when on song. Respect any market moves that come its way.
