Darby Munro Stakes – 2023

A solid field combines for the Darby Munro Stakes. Economics looks short enough in the market but didn’t have much luck fresh and looks well placed in this field. Dashing Legend is hard to knock and continues to find the podium while Spacewalk has class and maps Kindly. Cinderella Days goes on top at a price. Back to the 1200 suits and the form around In Secret and Sunshine In Paris reads enormous for this. She should set the tempo and it looks to be solid.

1. Swiss Exile (4)

Keep an eye on the market. Likely wants soft ground and usually takes a run to fire.

2. Sacred Satono (2)

Brings in some solid form and has been $100 into $20. By no means hopeless off the first up run and can win this.

3. Nettuno (12)

Fan of Nettuno who showed stacks of ability last prep and looked very good in recent trials. Has to settle more in its runs but is capable of beating this lot. Great chance.

4. Kote (1)

Unlucky last start but barrier 1 my be a hinderance here. Respect any market moves.

5. Economics (8)

Hard to beat but short enough in markets. Luckless fresh but does map a bit sticky in this. Needs to show its best but also is well placed in this company. In the mix.

6. Crosswinds (14)

Can’t have.

7. Hell I Am (9)

In the mix against this lot. Has been racing in good fashion and if it can find a drag into the race at the right time it can run over these.

8. Dashing Legend (5)

Hard to knock the winning form and the stable are having a good run. Avdulla sticks and this race is within reach. Good chance.

9. Spacewalk (3)

Racing well this prep, maps Kindly and had class on these. Well placed and will be hard to hold out.

10. Insurrection (7)

Likeable form lines and maps to get a tow into the race. Zahra does the steering and it has been well tried in early markets for good reasons. Hard to beat.

11. Cool Jakey (6)

Prefer in something easier.

12. Nipotino (13)

This looks too tough.

13. Felix Majestic (11)

Can’t have.

14. Opal Ridge (16)

Trials have been solid. Keep an eye on the market.

15. Cinderella Days (15)

Love its form lines and just needs to get across from the wide draw to go close. Ran well behind In Secret and Sunshine In Paris and that looks more than good enough for this. Heres hoping things fall into place from the draw.

16. Midnight In Tokyo (10)

Solid enough return without much luck. Decent place chance in this field.
