Anamoe looks to continue his outstanding prep and it is just a matter of overcoming the wide draw to be putting this lot away. Artorious showed an enormous turn of foot to win last start running down the smart Imperatriz. Whether he can roll the champion and put 2 back to back wins together remains a query but he must be respected off that effort. Fangirl goes in the mix having chased Anamoe last start with a gap to the rest including Golden Mile and Osipenko who are both place chances.

1. Anamoe (11)

Outstanding last start when coming from off the speed and showed his versatility given he usually has to settle within the first 4 to be winning. Should be winning again here.

2. Artorious (1)

Watched Imperatriz get nailed on the line then went and made sure the humble pie cooking in the kitchen wasn’t over-burnt after giving Artorious no hope last start. To his credit he showed an enormous will to win and received an 11/1o ride. Barrier 1 is less than ideal, he can win again but is one for the thrill seekers.

3. Kirwan’s Lane (5)

This looks too tough.

4. Converge (6)

Needs to show more form to consider but back onto dry ground is a tick. Keep an eye on any market moves.

5. Lions Roar (3)

Prefer others.

6. Fangirl (7)

Doubt she turns the tables on Anamoe but she is going really well. Place chance again in this.

7. Levante (10)

My pick if Anamoe gets beaten, which I doubt. Levante has been excellent over in NZ and the raiders cleaned up here last week. Can give this a shake.

8. Electric Girl (2)

Racing well but this is a decent leap in depth. Potential place chance with the kind map and draw.

9. Golden Mile (8)

Good last start when taking on a group 1. Wasn’t disgraced there and can find the placings in this.

10. Communist (4)

Good last start win with a nice run in transit. Can run well again here and find the placings with the nice draw.

11. Osipenko (9)

Well placed to get a top 3 position in this. Brilliant last start and can stalk the speed from barrier 9. Hard to see it beating Anamoe but far from hopeless in this.
