The Mannerism Stakes is a Group 3 race held at Caulfield Racecourse and is run over 1400 metres. It is is for mares aged four-year-old and older and is run under set weights and penalties conditions. The total prize money is $200,000 this year.

Mannerism Stakes 2024 Preview
Track: Good Weather: Fine
Open race. Revolutionary Miss comes up with a sticky draw but was a good last start winner and is well placed in this field. Eternal Flame had absolutely no luck behind it but looks well placed to find clean air this time around. Vagrant just keeps winning and will be hard to hold out in this. Running By can bounce back to form and maps kindly from the draw.

1. Revolutionary Miss (9)
Good win last start but a smidge lucky to have taken it out. Will need luck from the barrier and looks short enough.
2. Wrote To Arataki (7)
Has some good form for this race and has built an excellent record over this trip. Goes in the mix.
3. Shuffle Dancer (2)
Monitor the market for its chances here fresh. May need some luck from back in the ruck but has the quality to go close.
4. Vagrant (1)
Just keeps winning and hard to knock winning form. Barrier 1 and Lane are both big ticks. This race is within reach.
5. Barbie’s Fox (3)
Can’t have.
6. Party For One (5)
Class of the race with some strong form lines. Doesn’t win out of turn which is the knock but flies with Shinn aboard and maps well.
7. Forbidden City (4)
Going along well but doesn’t win out of turn. Maps for a good run from barrier 4 and Kah steering is ideal for its chances.
8. Running By (6)
Big danger to the on top selection. Versatile runner who can settle forwards or back. Has good ability and suited to this field. Goes close against this bunch.
9. Versilia (10)
Can’t have.
10. Eternal Flame (8)
On top. I was keen on him last start and it was a messy watch. Well placed to atone in this field and like it drawn wide to find clean air to wind up. This race is a suitable target.
