$6.00 the field so a wide open race. Mankayan maps nicely from the draw and should give this a shake from barrier 4. Herman Hesse comes off a good last start win but will need a bit of luck in running. Amade also draws wide but looks well placed in this field and should give this a shake. Alakahan has claims while Monbaher had its chance last start but is good enough to go close here.

Strong run last start and can build off that effort in this winnable race. Tricky draw to overcome is the knock.,

2. Mankayan (4)

Maps for a good run and coming off a strong last start win. The jockey stable combo always need to be respected and has come up early favourite in markets.

3. Don’t Doubt Dory (14)

Tough draw to overcome but strikes a suitable race. Will need some luck from out there but is a previous winner on this track.

4. Herman Hesse (9)

Bounced back to form last start and shouldn’t be far off them in this. Slightly awkward draw but going well enough to consider.

5. Monbaher (16)

Will need luck from the draw but good last start win and should be set to peak in this. The booking of Newitt is ideal and this race suits.

6. Rebel Racer (13)

Can’t have.

7. Skelm (8)

Prefer others.

8. Mahamedeis (5)  – scratched

Sound efforts so far this prep, has a good third up record and loves racing here. Ticks plenty of boxes.

9. Alakahan (10)

Suited in this field but looks a pinch short in early markets. Has been just fair in two runs to date this prep but there should be room for improvement.

10. Port Guillaume (11)

Can’t have.

11. Kirkeby (1)

Maps well and should be hard to beat in this field fourth up. Resonable price against this lot and will get all the favours from barrier 1.

12. Mystery Island (17)

Too hard to have from out there.

13. Lincoln King (2)

Prefer others.

14. Glitter ‘N’ Gold (12)

Good lasts start win but harder here. Madden is 4/5 aboard which is a huge stat and him sticking is a bolster to its chances.

15. One Last Kiss (6)

Hard to catch but has plenty of ability and a lot to like about the last start win. Goes in the mix.

16e. Akrotiri (7)

Can’t have.

17e. Divine Purpose (3)

Hard to gold out. Has been around the mark in harder races than this and has been well tried in early markets.
