Race 8 at Goulburn on Friday 11th March 2022.

The Kembla Grange Classic is a group 3 race run over the 1600 and typically held at Kembla Grange but due to weather is now being run at Goulburn. It is run at set weights with penalties and is held annually in NSW.

Track: Heavy Weather: Wet

The heavy track makes things interesting. Plenty of hopes in the market in what looks like a competitive affair and a lot will come down to luck in running and how the track is playing. The market is headed by the promising Hope In Your Heart and Pike is in the saddle. The Waterhouse stable has Tim Clark representing them on Summerbeel who also has shown plenty of promise. This shapes up to be a great race.

Respecting despite the record at the trip. Has come back well and this race is within range.

3. Hope In Your Heart (3)

Warrants respect and is drawn better than its rivals. Certainly a chance with the booking of Pike. Great hope and fits the profile well.

4. Lekvarte (10)

Unlucky last start when doing a bit wrong before the line. Certainly a chance in this.

5. Miss Madison (8)

Going okay but out of its depth here.

6. Pretty Amazing (13)

Very flashy and impressive type. Can launch at these late and looks an excellent chance despite the wide draw.

7. Summerbeel (5)

Lands on the speed and fights. Progressive and likeable booking. Sure to give a sight up on the speed.

8. Ellenmac (15)

Has to be respected and looks very suited over this trip. Needs luck from the draw but will be steaming home at odds.

9. Empress El (6)

Liked the way it hit the line and suited over further. Good chance at odds.

10. Charity Spirit (11)

Going okay but needs luck from the draw and prefer others.

12. Dalchini (4)

Brings in okay form for this and lands into a good spot from the draw. Giving respect at odds.

Can’t have.

Long odds look appropriate
