Our Randwick Horse Racing Tips for the weekend.
Feature races are the Group 1 Chipping Norton Stakes (race 6), Group 1 Surround Stakes (race 7), Group 2 Guy Walter Stakes (race 5), Group 2 Skyline Stakes (race 2), Group 2 Sweet Embrace Stakes (race 3) and Group 3 Liverpool City Cup (race 4).
Shaquero (Randwick Race 2 No. 1)
This two-year-old colt is one of three Chris Waller runners in the Skyline Stakes and has two wins and a place from his four starts. He finished a close 2nd over 1100m at Gold Coast on 9 January, then showed plenty of fight to win the Magic Millions 2YO Classic over 1200m at Gold Coast on 16 January. He has won at Randwick before and looks perfectly placed.

La Mexicana (Randwick Race 7 No. 9):
This three-year-old I Am Invincible filly trained by Anthony Freedman has five wins and two places from seven starts and has done all her racing in Victoria. She chased hard along the inside to win by 0.5 length over 1100m at Caulfield on 26 January, then she took over at the 150m and held on for a 0.1 length win in the Group 3 Kevin Hayes Stakes over 1200m at Caulfield on 6 February. She is a lovely type and is worth an each-way wager.

Icebath (Randwick Race 5 No. 7):
This four-year-old Sacred Falls mare is the early favourite in the Group 2 Guy Walter Stakes over 1400m. She finished last campaign with a close 2nd in the Golden Eagle on a heavy track over 1500m at Rosehill on 31 October, then resumed for 0.4, 1.3 lengths 3rd in the Group 3 Triscay Stakes over 1200m at Randwick on 13 February. She goes well on softer tracks, but this is a race full of good mares and I think her price is too short.

Key Comments The track is rated Soft and the rail is +7 metres the entire circuit and +4 metres in the 1200m chute. Best Bet Southern Shooter (Murray Bridge Race 5 No. 4) Resumed from a 20 week break to run 3rd over 1400m at Balaklava where he was held up several times and ran home well once he saw daylight. The step up to 1600m should suit and he looks a winning chance. Check odds on SmartB Analyst: Jo Jackson

Key Comments The track is rated Soft and the rail is +9.5 metres the entire circuit. Best Bet Mannerheim (Ipswich Race 6 No. 6) He didn’t haven’t the best of luck last start when he got a heavy bump at the start and was tightened in the final stages, but he still managed to place. He has the speed to overcome drawing the widest barrier and rates highly. Check odds on SmartB Analyst: Jo Jackson Each Way

Key Comments The 'Bool carnival continues and the features on the card are the $175,000 Galleywood Hurdle over 3200m (race 6) and the $200,000 Wangoom Handicap over 1200m (race 8). Tricky card to sort out but going for the best bet in the feature who is 3/3 on this track and class can come to the fore. Best Bet Tuvalu (Warrnambool Race 8 No. 1) He is 3/3 on this track and form last prep reads well against these including a length loss
