Skyline Stakes Race Information
The Skyline Stakes is a 1200 metre set weights race for two-year-old colts and geldings held by the Australian Turf Club in late February or early March. It is run at Randwick as part of the Sydney Autumn Racing Carnival.

The winner of the Skyline Stakes gets a ballot exemption for the Group 1 Golden Slipper Stakes (1200m) at Rosehill Gardens the following month.
The race was first run as a Principal Race over 1200m at Rosehill in 1979 where it was won by Top Hat Joe. In 1980 it became a Listed race and was run at Canterbury apart from a few years when it was run at Rosehill. In 1987 it was upgraded to a Group 3 race and in 2006 it was moved to Randwick. It was upgraded to the current Group 2 status in 2013 and was run at Warwick Farm that year and also in 2015. It has been run at all four Sydney tracks and has been at Randwick from 2016 onwards.
